Prayer Shawl Ministry
Trinity’s Prayer Shawl group includes 10 people who meet 2 – 3 times a year. Even though we don’t meet often, we encourage each other to make shawls throughout the year. We welcome anyone willing to commit time and energy to complete a shawl.
Whether they are called Prayer Shawls, Comfort Shawls, Peace Shawls or Mantles, the shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. Completed shawls are blessed on the 4th Sunday of the month during the Healing service.
